Donate
Y Teens is supported primarily through financial support from individuals and foundation grants. Making a financial contribution is an important decision, and the Y recognizes that you want to know your funds are being used effectively. Help make our community a better place by joining with other individuals to support YMCA teen development through a donation. View the Year-round Brochure for more information. To make a donation or to volunteer contact Program Executive Director Justin Birmingham at jbirmingham@ymca-portland.org or 503.327.0016.
Strong Communities Campaign
Each year Y Teens provides services for teens that they can not otherwise afford them by raising funds through our Strong Communities Campaign. We need your support as a volunteer fundraiser or by making a donation. To get involved contact Program Executive Director Justin Birmingham at jbirmingham@ymca-portland.org or 503.327.0016.
History
The YMCA has a long history of providing programs and services to people of all ages. In 1999 we recognized the need to offer programs for teens. In 2002 a $125,000 multi-year grant was received from the The Collins Foundation. This grant paved the way for the formation of the teen division, which today provides Youth and Community Leader Forums and our Phoenix program.
